Comfort Trust Activities Launched in the Old Schoolhouse

It has been such a joy to see many toddlers, babies and their carers pour through the doors of the Old Schoolhouse for Sunflowers and Buttercups. After an extra-long routine-less summer we were all ready and the palpable delight of returning at the end of September was obvious. Everyone loves the building. The space, the light, and, for many, the nostalgia of returning to their old school. It is an excellent building and I hope it will be fully used by everyone who surrounds it as well as further afield. The numbers haven’t been this big for a year or so and there seems to be space for more to come along.

Everyone has been on this journey together. The church and the community making this dream a reality. The whole church family, as well as some members of the wider community, have been a part of this – painting, fixing, cleaning, moving furniture – getting the building in a state for us to start using. We are thrilled to be in this building. In fact I have been pinching myself these last two weeks – we are finally here after six or so years when the long journey began. It is also because of the community surrounding this building that we are here. They belong here with us and we hope to welcome many more people over the coming weeks and months. Please join this journey with us and think big too – are there other groups we can serve or partner with in this area?
